As all of you know 2020 has held many obstacles and taken away many celebrated events. Due to the safety and health concerns, CMA decided to postpone CreditScape to 2021 in hopes that the new year would provide more freedom from COVID restrictions, along with the ability to have CreditScape in person in Las Vegas. Unfortunately, not enough progress has happened in fighting against the pandemic and we are still faced with restrictions on multiple fronts.

Due to this, CMA has decided to go live with CreditScape from Las Vegas…Virtually! We have found an amazing virtual platform that will allow us to make CreditScape more interactive, informational, and impactful than ever before.

About The Event

CreditScape is a unique opportunity where attendees can interact with other credit professionals through peer to peer networking, experiencing expert panelists, and learning from other credit practitioners of many different levels.

While CreditScape features subject-matter experts sharing their experiences with credit practitioners, much of the learning at CreditScape will come from practitioners sharing real-world experiences with each other through workshop-style settings.

Rich Adams

Rich Adams is President and CEO of Southwest Business Credit Services, which ranks among the top 15 associations by the Phoenix Business Journal.  Prior to joining this business in 1992, Rich served as Director of Credit for the O’Malley Companies.  He is a founding Director of Gateway Commercial Bank of Mesa, Arizona, and has over 40 years’ experience in business management and commercial credit management.

Mr. Adams holds the Certified Credit Executive (CCE),Certified Credit Professional (CCP) and Certified Professional Collector (CPC) Designations.  He is also a Certified Association Executive (CAE).

Candace C. Carlyon

Ms. Carlyon has been representing financial institutions and other lenders since 1986. She has been certified as a Business Bankruptcy Specialist by the American Board of Certification of Bankruptcy and Creditors’ Rights Attorneys since 1994. Ms. Carlyon currently serves as a part time Judge pro tempore for the Clark County Eighth Judicial District Court’s Short Trial Program, and has previously served as a Nevada Supreme Court Settlement Judge, and as a mediator with the Nevada Foreclosure Mediation Program. Ms. Carlyon has been recognized in The Best Lawyers in America in the field of bankruptcy since 1994. Ms. Carlyon has held an AV rating, the highest available, from Martindale-Hubbell since 1989. Her legal experience includes representation of numerous financial institutions, hotels, casinos, creditors’ committees, bondholders’ committees, title companies, real estate developers and investment entities. She has been repeatedly recognized by publications such as Nevada Super Lawyers and Mountain States Super Lawyers. She obtained her juris doctorate degree, summa cum laude, from Pepperdine University School of Law, which she attended on a full tuition merit scholarship. Following graduation, she served as a law clerk to Nevada Supreme Court Justice Cliff Young.

Holly Hoffman

Holly Hoffman is owner of Sales and Income Tax Advisory Network which specializes in contractor sales and use tax law compliance (WI and multi-state). Prior to creating the Tax Advisory Network, Holly spent 8 years working as an auditor, speaker, and technical tax law specialist (sales and use) for the Wisconsin Department of Revenue. In 2018, Holly was awarded the External Customer Service Award by the Department of Revenue for her tireless efforts educating Wisconsin taxpayers as a speaker and the head of the Wisconsin Department of Revenue Speaker’s Bureau. Holly holds BS and MSA degrees in Accounting.

Gary Mendell

Gary Mendell is President of Meridian Finance Group, a company providing credit, insurance, and trade finance tools that companies use to expand their U.S. and international sales.

A graduate of the University of Pennsylvania in 1976, Gary has over 40 years of experience in domestic and international sales, distribution, credit, and finance.

Prior to Meridian Finance Group, he held positions managing U.S. and export business development for companies in the pharmaceutical, aerospace, and plastics industries.

Gary has received the President’s “E” Award and currently serves on the federal government’s Trade Finance Advisory Council.

Davy Tyburski

Davy Tyburski is known as, America’s Chief Profit Officer®. He is an author, business advisor and speaker with 30+ years of real-world leadership experience across the 5-core business functions; Business Credit and Collections (Accounts Receivable), Marketing, Sales, Customer Service and Operations.

Davy is the author of two books; “The Profit Book: 21 Unique Ways to Increase Sales, Improve Cash Flow and Boost Your Bottom Line!” and “From Conflict to Cooperation: The Insider’s Guide to a Strong CREDITandSALES Relationship.”

He has presented his proven strategies and techniques to many individuals, companies and organizations including Meeting Professionals International, Master Lock, Atradius, the Walt Disney Company, Kellogg’s, Medtronic, the National Association of Credit Management (NACM), Mizuno, Goodyear, Manpower, and Microsoft to name a few.


Thea Dudley

In her over three decades of work as a credit and collections officer, Thea Dudley has trekked across deserts to recover goods, taken FBI interrogation classes to learn negotiators “tells” and suffered through more lame reasons for extending credit then she can count. She knows how to decide whose worthy of credit and how to go after those who abuse the privilege.

Starting her career working for her sub-contractor father, she went on to work with leading industry distribution companies, including her husband’s family lumber business, working in and leading the one person – nationwide credit teams, serving as Vice President of Financial Services at Guardian Building Products and SRS Distribution, Inc. before starting Pocket Protectors LLC.

Thea is an inspiring leader and coach who promotes the philosophy of there is enough spotlight for everyone to contribute and shine while bringing out the most from her teams. She is a national speaker, author and columnist. Her work appears in LBM Journal and ProSales Magazine and serves on several Boards.

Neal Gold

Neal Gold is the Executive Vice President of Creditors Adjustment Bureau, a well-respected agency and law firm handling debt collection matters worldwide from demand through litigation since 1954.

Neal has a track record of over 35 years providing companies with Receivables Management solutions to help increase cash flow and reduce bad debt and credit risk. He was a founding director of First Commercial Services Corporation, headquartered in New York and Corporate Vice President for two of the largest global Credit and Collection Management companies in the industry. He currently supervises the sales, marketing and training divisions of Creditors Adjustment Bureau.

Neal is a national speaker and trainer on the subject of Cash Flow Management, Corporate Communications and Relationship Management. He speaks at numerous functions for the National Association of Credit Management and provides seminars and workshops for Organizations, Associations and Companies throughout the United States


Jim Reed

James Reed is a partner at Udall Shumway PLC in Mesa, Arizona. He has been practicing in the area of construction law, focusing on lien and bond rights, for 25 years, and has been a lecturer on lien and bond law for 20 years. Mr. Reed has represented national and international construction companies at all phases of construction in disputes in Arizona, Nevada, California, Pennsylvania and New Mexico. He argued and won the first “joint check rule” case in the Nevada Supreme Court, which has applied to every construction project in Nevada since 1998. Besides lien and bond law, Mr. Reed’s trial and arbitration work includes a three-week trial in the nationally-reported case of Federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosive undercover agent Jay Dobyns v. United States, featured in NEWSWEEK, the Washington Post, CNN, the Arizona Republic and the Wall Street Journal. The Arizona Republic named Mr. Reed as one of nine “Amazing Arizonans” for 2015. Mr. Reed is a 1988 graduate of Columbia Law School and a 1985 graduate of the University of Kansas. He is admitted in Arizona and before the Third, Ninth and Federal Circuit Courts of Appeal, as well as the U.S. Supreme Court.

Chris Kuehl

Dr. Chris Kuehl is a Managing Director of Armada Corporate Intelligence. He provides forecasts and strategic guidance for a wide variety of corporate clients around the world. He is the chief economist for several national and international
organizations – Fabricators and Manufacturers Association, National Association of Credit Management, American Supply Association, Chemical Coaters Association International, Industrial Heating Equipment Association and others. He is also the economic analyst for several state accounting societies – Missouri, Kentucky, Tennessee, North Dakota, Minnesota and Kansas.

Prior to starting Armada in 1999 he was a professor of economics and finance for 15 years – teaching in the US, Hungary, Russia, Estonia, Singapore and Taiwan. He holds advanced degrees in economics, Soviet studies and East Asian studies.

Chris is the author of Business Intelligence Briefs and Executive Intelligence Briefs – both publications from Armada. He is also responsible for the Credit Manager’s Index from NACM and Fabrinomics from the FMA.
